Gov Nwifuru Lifts Suspension on Commissioners, SSA, SA, and Permanent Secretaries

Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State has lifted the suspension of 81 government officials, directing them to immediately resume their official duties.

The affected individuals include Commissioners, Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants, and Permanent Secretaries who were initially suspended on July 28, 2025.

This development was confirmed in a statement released on Tuesday by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Monday Uzor, and made available to journalists in Abakaliki.

While the statement did not elaborate on the reasons for the initial suspension or the decision to reinstate them, it emphasized the governor’s directive for the officials to return to work without delay.
