The management of the Plateau State Tourism Corporation (PSTC) has issued a statement concerning the recent disappearance of a hyena from its enclosure at the Jos Wildlife Park. This announcement, made on Monday in Jos, underscores the significance of the park as one of Plateau State’s premier tourist destinations, celebrated for its natural conservation efforts.

According to the PSTC, the escape was discovered and reported promptly, prompting immediate action from park authorities. Measures have been swiftly implemented to ensure public safety and facilitate the hyena’s safe retrieval. A dedicated team of game guards and park rangers, aided by drone technology, is actively tracking the animal.

In their cautionary statement, the PSTC urged the public to remain vigilant and avoid approaching the hyena if spotted. Instead, they encouraged citizens to contact park authorities immediately through designated hotlines: 09026927620 and 09131000945. This approach aims to prevent any potential incidents and facilitate the hyena’s prompt return to its enclosure.
