Lagos Police Apprehend Four Individuals for Tricycle Theft

The Lagos State Police Command has apprehended four individuals accused of stealing three tricycles belonging to a mobility company based in Ojota. SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the command’s spokesperson, confirmed the arrests to journalists in Lagos on Saturday.

According to Hundeyin, the company’s secretary reported the theft to the Ogudu Police Division around 10:00 am on Tuesday. The secretary stated that at approximately 7:00 am on Tuesday, he received information that three of the company’s tricycles had been stolen by unknown individuals.

Acting on this report, a team of detectives from the division initiated an investigation and tracked the tricycles to various locations. This effort led to the apprehension of four suspects whose names are being withheld.

“The first suspect was apprehended at Ondo Town in Ondo State with the first tricycle, while the second suspect was arrested at Mile 12 in Lagos State with the second tricycle. The third and fourth suspects were captured at Idiroko, a boundary town between Lagos State and Ogun State, with the third tricycle,” Hundeyin explained.

HPe added, “The suspects will be charged in court after the conclusion of the investigation.”
