Man Allegedly Kills Another Over Suspected Affair With His Wife in Niger State

A man identified as Shalbal Yusuf of Matadangwoni Village in the Auna District of Magama Local Government Area, Niger State, has been declared wanted by the police following the killing of 30-year-old Lusha Alhaji Washa, popularly known as Muyaye.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday at about 12:30 a.m. Local sources said Yusuf allegedly caught his wife with Washa, leading to a confrontation that quickly turned violent. During the altercation, Yusuf reportedly attacked Washa with a machete, inflicting deep cuts to his head and neck.

According to Zagazola Makama, the victim was rushed to the General Hospital in Auna for emergency treatment but died while receiving medical care. His body has been documented and kept at the hospital for autopsy.

Police authorities have launched a manhunt for Yusuf and have intensified investigations to uncover the full circumstances surrounding the deadly encounter.
