Man Murdered by Lover’s Children and Friends in Delta Community

A man identified as Rossy Omatseye has been attacked and axed to death by the children and friends of his lover in Orerokpe Community, Okpe Local Government Area of Delta State.

The tragic incident occurred on Monday, November 10, according to reports.

Sources said the attack followed a domestic dispute between Omatseye and his lover. After learning of the altercation, the woman’s children reportedly mobilised their friends, went to the victim’s residence, and attacked him with axes and other weapons, killing him on the spot.

Following the killing, relatives of the deceased, believed to be from Ekpan Community in Uvwie Local Government Area, allegedly attempted to avenge his death, sparking tension in Orerokpe. Security operatives were said to have restored calm to the area.

Although community sources confirmed the violence, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, had not yet officially commented on the incident as of the time of filing this report.
