Members of the Niger State House of Assembly have urged the state government to promptly deploy manpower and resources to aid victims of recent rainstorms in Kpautagi community, Mokwa Local Government Area. This call came following a motion of urgent public importance sponsored by Zakari Ndagi Kinbokun, representing Mokwa Constituency.

Kinbokun highlighted that on July 5, 2024, Kpautagi community suffered extensive damage from a severe rainstorm, resulting in flooding of homes and businesses, blockage of two drainage systems, and destruction of properties valued at millions of naira. He further noted the submergence of over 20 farmlands, leading to significant crop and livestock losses.
