Niger Police Urge Public, Sister Agencies Not to Panic During Shooting Range Practice

The Niger State Police Command has advised the public and other security agencies not to panic at the sound of sporadic gunshots on July 18, 2024, between 6 am and 6 pm. This is due to a scheduled shooting range practice behind the Nigeria Air Force Base, Maikunkele, Minna.

The announcement was made in a statement by the Public Relations Officer, SP Wasiu Abiodun, and shared with newsmen in Minna.

“We wish to inform members of the public, sister security agencies, and other critical stakeholders in the state that the Police Command will embark on a shooting range practice on 18th July, 2024, between the hours of 6 am-6 pm, behind the Nigeria Air Force Base, Maikunkele, Minna.

“We appreciate your usual cooperation and understanding with the Police and other security agencies, as we always strive to be proactive and responsive in serving the public better,” the statement said.
