Plateau and Bauchi Governments Ease Curfew Restrictions
The governments of Plateau and Bauchi states have relaxed curfews in certain areas due to improved security situations.
In Plateau State, Governor Caleb Mutfwang lifted a 24-hour curfew in Jos, the state capital, allowing residents to move freely between 2 pm and 6 pm daily. This decision follows consultations with security agencies and an assessment of the current situation.
In Bauchi State, Governor Bala Mohammed relaxed a 24-hour curfew in the Katagum Local Government Area to 12 hours, from 6 pm to 6 am daily. The curfews were initially imposed due to security concerns, including looting and vandalism. Both governors urged citizens to remain vigilant and cooperate with security agencies to maintain peace and order
