The Plateau State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is in mourning following the passing of Mama Lydia Yilwatda, mother of the party’s National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, who died on Sunday.

In a condolence statement, APC’s acting Publicity Secretary in Plateau, Shittu Bamaiyi, described her death as a profound loss not only to Prof. Yilwatda and his family but also to the APC family across Plateau and Nigeria.

Mama Lydia was remembered as a devoted Christian and respected leader in the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN), alongside her late husband Reverend Toma Yilwatda, for their tireless efforts in supporting the church across Borno, Yobe, Bauchi, and Plateau states.
