Rep. Etteh Expresses Condolences to APC Chairman Following Mother’s Demise
The Member representing Eket/ONNA/Esit-Eket/Ibeno Federal Constituency, Hon. Okpolupm Etteh, has joined Nigerians in mourning the death of Madam Lydia Yilwatda, mother of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda. Madam Lydia passed away at the age of 83.
In a statement released on Tuesday, Rep. Etteh described the late Madam Yilwatda as a “revered community leader and devoted mother who dedicated her love, time, and energy to serving God and humanity.”
A committed member of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN), Madam Lydia was remembered for living a life marked by faith, discipline, and purpose, positively influencing those around her.
Etteh highlighted her virtues of grace, resilience, and selfless service, emphasizing her dedication to nurturing her children and uplifting her community. “She lived a spirited, graceful, and impactful life,” he said.
He urged Prof. Yilwatda and the entire family to find solace in the lasting memories and legacy she left behind, encouraging them to see her passing not only as a time of grief but also a moment of thanksgiving for a life well-lived.
“As you mourn, I pray that Almighty God grants you strength and courage to bear this profound loss. May you find comfort in the enduring legacy she created,” Etteh added.
The lawmaker assured the family and associates that while Madam Lydia’s passing leaves a deep void, her name and deeds will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
