Gunmen

Zacchaeus Michael, the caretaker chairman of the Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area in Kogi State, has been abducted by armed assailants.

This was confirmed on Saturday by William Aya, the state’s Police Public Relations Officer. Aya informed our reporter that the abduction occurred on Friday night along the Kabba-Okene Road in the Kabba region.

I have received the details. The state Commissioner of Police, Bethrand Onuoha, has dispatched officers to conduct a search-and-rescue operation. We are managing the situation effectively, he stated.

Individuals who wished to remain unnamed because of the delicate nature of the situation revealed that Michael, along with several of his assistants, was taken hostage.

According to one informant, reports suggest that Zacchaeus Dare Michael, the Chairman of CTC Kabba Bunu, and some aides were seized by armed individuals on the Kabba-Okene Expressway in Kabba.

Officials are actively looking for reliable information that could assist in their safe recovery. I encourage everyone to pray for their swift and secure return, seeking divine guidance and safeguarding during this urgent period.
