Yobe Eases Curfew Amid #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria Protests

Due to significant improvements in the security situation in Potiskum, Gashua, and Nguru in Yobe, Governor Mai Mala Buni has approved a five-hour reduction in the curfew imposed on these towns.

The announcement was made by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Security Matters, Retired Brigadier-General Dahiru Abdulsalam, in a statement released on Saturday in Damaturu.

“The curfew is now relaxed from noon to 5 pm, allowing people to engage in lawful activities starting Sunday,” he said.

While praising the security agencies for their efforts in restoring peace, the governor urged them to “remain vigilant and prevent any breakdown of law and order during the relaxed curfew hours.”

He also called on residents to cooperate with security personnel and report any suspicious activities. The governor assured the public of the government’s ongoing commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of all citizens.
