AEDC Announces Fresh Power Outage in Parts of Abuja

The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) has announced a new power outage affecting several parts of Nigeria’s capital city, Abuja.

In a notice posted on its official X (formerly Twitter) account on Saturday, AEDC attributed the blackout to a technical fault but did not provide a timeline for restoration.

Areas affected by the outage include Amazon Street, Lephalala Street, Ganges Street, Panama Street, parts of Danube Street, and Osun Crescent. Other impacted locations are Rhine Street, Urban Shelter Katampe, Living Faith Church Katampe, Jahi Village, Katampe Extension, Jahi by Gilmore, and surrounding areas.

“We regret to inform you that the power outage affecting your area is due to a technical fault,” the notice read.

Meanwhile, Nigeria News 247 reports that AMSSCO Estate in Galadimawa has been without power for the past three days, though it was not included in the officially listed affected areas.
