APC Sets July 24, 2025 for National Executive Council Meeting
The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has scheduled its National Executive Council (NEC) meeting for July 24, 2025.
The party issued the notice via its official X account on Friday, urging all NEC members to take the meeting seriously, in line with Article 12.3 of the APC constitution.
According to Article 12.3, the NEC includes key party officials such as the National Chairman, Deputy National Chairmen (North and South), and the National Secretary, among others.
This announcement comes after Umar Ganduje resigned as APC National Chairman last Friday. Ali Bukar Dalori, who was the Deputy National Chairman (North), has since been appointed Acting National Chairman and officially assumed the role on Monday.
Ganduje, from the North-West zone, took over the party leadership in August 2023 following the resignation of his predecessor, Abdullahi Adamu of the North-Central zone.
Dalori pledged to lead with transparency, inclusiveness, and unity, appealing to NEC members to focus on delivering good governance, strengthening party discipline, and deepening democracy within APC.
