An Osun State High Court sitting in Sagamu has issued a restraining order preventing the Ogun State Government from demolishing properties belonging to former governor Gbenga Daniel and his wife, Olufunke.

The order was granted on Tuesday by Justice O.S. Oloyede following an ex parte application filed by the applicants’ counsel, A.M. Kotoye.

According to court documents obtained by Nigeria News 247, the application—dated August 11, 2025—named the Governor of Ogun State, the State Attorney-General, the State Planning & Development Permit Authority, and the Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development as respondents.
