DSS hails Adeola Ajayi’s expertise as Tinubu appoints new DG
The Department of State Services (DSS) has expressed its support for the appointment of Adeola Oluwatosin Ajayi as its new Director General, describing him as proactive and highly experienced.
President Bola Tinubu appointed Ajayi as the new DSS DG on Monday, with the announcement made by presidential spokesman Ajuri Ngelale.
In a statement signed by Peter Afunanya, DSS Director of Public Relations and Strategic Communications, the service praised Ajayi as a “thoroughbred and versatile intelligence officer.”
Ajayi, who joined the DSS as a cadet in 1990, has undergone extensive training in various areas of security and management, both locally and internationally. He has held several command positions, including State Director of Security in Rivers, Bayelsa, Bauchi, Enugu, and Kogi states.
“Ajayi is diligent, resilient, urbane, proactive, and analytical, bringing a wealth of experience, capacity, and goodwill to his new role,” the statement read.
The DSS also extended its best wishes to outgoing DG Yusuf Magaji Bichi and assured Ajayi of its full cooperation and support.
