#EndBadGovernance: Protest begins in Lagos amid tight security
Protesters for #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria are actively gathering in Lagos at the moment. A large group of young people has assembled at Ikeja Underbridge, with intentions to march towards Ojota.
This protest, which commenced today, is scheduled to continue until August 10. The demonstration arises from the ongoing economic difficulties being experienced across the nation.
Citizens across Nigeria have taken to the streets to voice their dissatisfaction over pressing issues such as soaring living costs, widespread hunger, rampant unemployment, and inadequate access to quality education.
The demonstrators gathered around 8 am in large groups, singing songs of solidarity and carrying signs demanding improved governance.
This protest is occurring under close surveillance from security forces, including the police, LNSC, and civil defense personnel.
Despite the sparse traffic on major routes like the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway and Alausa roads, hundreds of young people are marching from the Underbridge area.
