#EndBadGovernanceinNigeria: Man strips self naked to protest hardship in Lagos

As citizens throughout Nigeria demonstrate to express their grievances regarding economic struggles, an unidentified individual took the bold step of protesting in the nude on Thursday in Lagos State.

A video that has gone viral on social media shows the man walking through the Ojota streets, completely unclothed and joining fellow protesters in singing Solidarity Forever.

According to NIGERIA NEWS 247 Metro, protests have erupted nationwide as people voice their dissatisfaction with the ongoing economic challenges.

The movement, dubbed #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria, began on August 1, 2024, aiming to highlight the hardships faced by ordinary Nigerians and attract government attention to their issues.

Our reporter, who observed the demonstrations in various locations across Lagos, learned that the protesters ignored a court injunction restricting their activities to designated areas and instead took to the streets, roads, and Gani Fawehinmi Freedom Park to voice their concerns.

Benjamin Hundeyin, the Public Relations Officer for the Lagos State Police, issued a statement on X.com reassuring both protesters and residents of Lagos that law enforcement was present to maintain safety and security for everyone involved. He noted that the situation in the area is peaceful!

The Police Commissioner, CP Adegoke Fayoade, mni, has made an appearance at the protest site located at Gani Fawehinmi Freedom Park in Ojota, Lagos, where he observed that the protesters were behaving peacefully.

He also assessed other locations including Alausa and the Lekki toll gate, confirming that these areas were tranquil as well.

Meanwhile, residents of Lagos who are not participating in the protests continue to carry out their daily activities without facing any harassment or intimidation.
