In Asaba, Delta State, demonstrators are assembling at the well-known Interbua Roundabout, where security forces are heavily deployed.

What began as a gathering of two young men around 9:30 am quickly expanded to ten and then fifteen participants by 10:20 am.

They are holding signs with messages like #EndBadGovernment and Hardship Everywhere. The protesters claim that Governor Sheriff Oborevwori provided substantial funds to certain youth organizations on Tuesday in an attempt to undermine their demonstration.

An unnamed demonstrator stated, We are holding signs and do not possess any firearms, machetes, or other weapons.

My presence here is to ease my conscience. I urge the people of Delta to join us without fear. The security forces are present to ensure our safety, not to harm us.

We are simply citizens asserting our rights; we are not affiliated with any group. Those young individuals who accepted money from the Governor bring shame upon their peers. He also mentioned that many individuals hesitate to participate due to concerns about security risks.
