FG to temporarily suspend import tariffs on food items, pharmaceuticals, and others to alleviate inflationary pressures
The Federal Government is considering a temporary halt on import duties for basic foodstuffs, medications, and vital commodities for six months as part of efforts to address inflation.
Nigeria News 247 reports that this proposal was outlined in an executive directive. This executives directives suggests that President Tinubu is considering a temporarily suspension on import tariffs on essential food items, pharmaceuticals, and other products for six months to alleviate inflationary pressures.
