Gov Abiodun Approves New Road Projects and Security Enhancements

The Ogun State Executive Council, chaired by Governor Dapo Abiodun, on Wednesday approved the reconstruction of several key roads across the state, reinforcing the administration’s commitment to consistent infrastructural development.

The approved roads include:

  • 5.4 km Ogbeere – Orita Mobi Junction Road (Ijebu East LGA)

  • 3.2 km Erinlu – Imosan Road (Odogbolu LGA)

  • 2.0 km Imodi – Imosan Road (Odogbolu LGA)

Additionally, the council authorized the procurement of ultra-modern security gadgets to bolster the state’s security framework and protect vital infrastructure.

Governor Abiodun also praised the progress at the Onijaganjagan Independent Power Plant, promising residents of Abeokuta and its environs a reliable power supply soon.

This latest approval builds on the governor’s recent sanctioning of eleven new roads, including:

  • 9.2 km Akute Bridge to Agbado (Lateef Jakande) Train Terminal/Pass/Agbado Bridge

  • 5.5 km Iperu Junction to Ilishan Roundabout (Gateway International Airport Road)

  • Other key roads across Abeokuta, Ijebu Ode, Odogbolu, Ipokia, and surrounding areas

The government continues to prioritize infrastructural growth and security enhancements to improve the quality of life for Ogun residents.
