Governors Bala Mohammed, Fubara, Makinde, and 6 Others Arrive in Enugu for PDP Governors’ Forum Meeting
The 13 governors elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are gathering in Enugu for a PDP Governors Forum meeting on Wednesday.
The host, Enugu State Governor Dr. Peter Mbah, welcomed several governors as they arrived at the Government House, Enugu. Among them were the Forum Chairman and Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed, along with Governors Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State, Seyi Makinde of Oyo, Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom, Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta, Godwin Obaseki of Edo, Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau, Agbu Kefas of Taraba, Dauda Lawal of Zamfara, and Ahmed Fintiri of Adamawa.
Osun State Governor Senator Ademola Adeleke and Bayelsa State Governor Senator Douye Diri were expected to arrive later.
Although the meeting agenda was not disclosed, it is anticipated that discussions will focus on the forthcoming party congresses, the Edo and Ondo governorship elections, internal challenges facing the PDP, and national issues.
The PDP Governors’ Forum, founded on February 24, 2013, during former President Dr. Goodluck Jonathan’s administration, provides a platform for governors to share ideas, knowledge, and experiences to advance the party and coordinate programs and policies in their states.
Meanwhile, the governors were treated to a cultural night organized by the host governor, Dr. Mbah, on Tuesday night.
