IBEDC Assures Stable Power Supply for Eid-El-Kabir

The management of Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company Plc (IBEDC) has assured its customers of a stable power supply during the Eid-El-Kabir celebrations.

In a statement on Sunday, IBEDC Acting Managing Director, Francis Agoha, said the company will keep its technical team on standby to address any issues that may arise during the festivities.

Felicitating with Muslims across the country for the Sallah celebration, Agoha emphasized the importance of selflessness, brotherly love, and sacrifice in fostering unity and prosperity for Nigeria, values celebrated during this season.

The statement read, “Agoha reiterates IBEDC’s commitment to providing quality service, even during holidays. He assures customers that technical teams are dedicated to promptly resolving any faults that may occur during this period.”

The Managing Director also urged customers to avoid energy theft, stressing that it contradicts the spirit of honesty and sacrifice of Eid-El-Kabir. He noted that energy theft is a criminal offense that undermines service quality for all customers.

Customers are encouraged to report any issues or complaints to IBEDC offices or call the customer care line at 07001239999 instead of resorting to illegal activities. Agoha cautioned against tampering with electrical installations, highlighting the dangers of severe electrical accidents, and advised proper earthing of premises for safety.

He also encouraged customers to use IBEDC’s hassle-free payment channels for bill settlements and vending to avoid disconnection. These channels include the IBEDCPAY app for Android and iOS, FetsWallet, Quickteller, Payarena, Jumia, Watu, Buypower, and ATMs.
