IPOB Warns South-East Governors Against Allocating Grazing Reserves to Miyetti Allah
The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) issued a warning on Saturday to South-East governors, cautioning them against allocating land for grazing reserves to the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), which could potentially destabilize the region.
IPOB spokesperson Emma Powerful released a statement urging governors not to compromise the safety of the region’s inhabitants. The statement read: “The noble family and movement of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), led by Mazi Nnamdi Okwu Kanu, caution the Eastern Governors to reject Miyetti Allah’s recent demand for grazing reserves. No governor should jeopardize safety and security by allocating land for RUGA in disguise.
“IPOB calls on Southern and Middle Belt Governors to reject Miyetti Allah’s demands for grazing reserves. We will resist any form of land grabbing, demographic changes, or conquest ideology in any disguise. There shall be no grazing reserves for Miyetti Allah in Biafra Land.”
