Julius Abure Visits Datti Baba-Ahmed Following Brother’s Passing

Factional National Chairman of the Labour Party (LP), Julius Abure, has paid a condolence visit to the party’s 2023 vice-presidential candidate, Dr. Datti Baba-Ahmed, following the death of his elder brother, Mustaph Baba-Ahmed.

The visit was disclosed in a statement by Obiora Ifoh, the factional National Publicity Secretary of the party.

According to NIGERIA NEWS 247, the late Mustaph Baba-Ahmed passed away in Medina last week and was buried in the holy city in accordance with Islamic rites.

Abure, who was accompanied by members of the party’s National Executive Committee, praised the late Mustaph Baba-Ahmed as a man of integrity, describing him as a first-class academic and a successful businessman.

“We understand the pain and the deep void this loss has created in the family,” Abure said. “But we trust that God will bring comfort and provide for the young family he left behind.”

In response, Datti Baba-Ahmed expressed appreciation for the visit and the support shown by the party leadership during this difficult time.

“The entire family is deeply grateful and proud of the Labour Party,” he said. “Your presence here means a lot to us. Thank you for standing with us in our moment of grief.”

NIGERIA NEWS 247 also reports that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and members of his team coincidentally visited the bereaved family as well.
