Katsina Governor, Dikko Radda Discharged After Minor Road Accident – Aides Confirm

Bashir Ahmad, former media aide to late President Muhammadu Buhari, has confirmed that Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umaru Radda, has been discharged from the hospital following a road accident on Sunday evening.

The incident occurred along the Daura–Katsina Road during one of the governor’s official engagements. In a post on X, Ahmad cited confirmation from the Katsina Local Government Area chairman, stating: “The Governor has been discharged from the hospital, as confirmed by Katsina LGA Chairman.”

Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, also issued a statement describing the accident as minor, assuring the public that Governor Radda is in stable condition.

“Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda was involved in a minor road accident while carrying out official duties. His condition remains stable,” Mohammed stated.

The news comes days after Radda made headlines during the funeral of former President Muhammadu Buhari on July 15, 2025, where he was seen visibly emotional as the military paid final tributes before Buhari’s burial.
