1. Rivers Crisis: Emeka Amadi, the clerk of the Rivers Assembly, has officially distanced himself from the faction led by Governor Sim Fubara. Amadi clarified that the trio of Hon. Victor Oko Jumbo, Hon. Sokari Goodboy Sokari, and Hon. Adolphus Orubimie Timothy, who claim allegiance to Fubara, were suspended on October 30, 2023, and therefore cannot hold positions as officers of the House.
2. Ogun-Osun River Basin: President Bola Tinubu has appointed Chukwuemeka Woke as the new Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Ogun-Osun River Basin Development Authority. This appointment was communicated via a statement released by Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity.

Cybersecurity Levy: The House of Representatives has instructed the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to retract its directive ordering banks to impose a cybersecurity levy on all electronic transactions made by Nigerians. This directive comes amidst widespread opposition to the levy from organized labor, various professional associations, businesses, and individuals.
6. Education: Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has unveiled plans to relocate 359 schools from high-risk areas to safer communities within the state. 9. Lagos-Calabar coastal highway: The House of Representatives declared on Thursday that the contentious Lagos-Calabar coastal highway project lacked the approval of the National Assembly. Furthermore, the House resolved to probe the procurement process of the coastal highway project.
10. Tragedy: Ibrahim Babangida, a former Super Eagles player, tragically lost his life in a road accident along the Zaria road. His brother, Tijani, who was accompanied by his wife, son, and maid, was also involved in the accident.
