1. A Lagos Coroner’s inquest established to uncover the circumstances surrounding the passing of Sylvester Oromoni Jnr., a 12-year-old student of Dowen College, Lekki, Lagos, has concluded that he succumbed to natural causes. Magistrate Mikhail Kadiri, the coroner, emphasized that while the deceased’s demise could have been avoided with proper parental care, the college staff were not implicated in any wrongdoing.
2. The State Working Committee of the Kano chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has taken disciplinary action against some ward party leaders who previously suspended the national chairman of the party, Umar Abdullahi Ganduje. The leaders in Ganduje ward, Dawakin Tofa Local Government, had suspended the APC national chairman earlier in the week.
