The Majority Leader of the House, Prof Julius Ihonbvere, introduced and pushed for quick consideration of the bill before it was passed on the House floor.

2. Mohammad Sanusi II reinstated as emir of Kano: Kano State was filled with excitement on Thursday when Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf revealed that Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi had been reappointed as the Emir of Kano. The announcement came right after the signing of the updated emirate council law at Government House, Kano.

The charges against the convicts, who were brought before the court on December 30, 2022, included conspiracy and armed robbery.
