Public affairs analyst and lawyer, Barrister Medina Anako, has called on Nigerians to rise above cynicism and adopt a spirit of optimism in addressing the country’s challenges.

In a statement released on Monday, Anako urged citizens to focus on unity, collaboration, and nation-building rather than criticism and division. She acknowledged the nation’s current security and economic difficulties but emphasized that there are also abundant opportunities for growth and development.

“Let us reject cynicism and embrace optimism. Let us focus on building, not breaking; on collaborating, not condemning. The challenges facing Nigeria are real, but so are the opportunities,” she said.

“Together, we can turn challenges into chapters of growth and obstacles into opportunities for greatness. We will continue to amplify the achievements of the Renewed Hope administration while also promoting transparency, inclusiveness, and accountability.”

Anako further noted that many Nigerians remain unaware of the various empowerment schemes, grants, and programmes introduced by President Bola Tinubu’s administration, which she said have the potential to transform lives.

She also appealed to the media to play a constructive role in shaping public perception and strengthening democracy.

“We particularly call on the media to join hands with us. The media remains a vital pillar of democracy—the bridge between governance and the governed. Your role in disseminating truthful, positive, and constructive information cannot be overemphasised.

Together, we can shape a new national narrative that celebrates progress, encourages accountability, and builds faith in the Nigerian project,” Anako added.
