There is a different Life after Power – Shehu Sani tells Politicians

Following the recent attempt by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to arraign the former governor of Kogi state, and subsequent declaration that Yahaya Bello is wanted for offences relating to economic and financial crimes, the Human Rights Activist and former senator representing Kaduna Central Senatorial District, Senator Shehu Sani, has called on all Nigeria politicians to consciousness that there is a different life after power.

Senator Sani declared this on his Twitter (X) handle today, Thursday 18th April 2024. His post read:

“When you tell the Serving Governors abusing their executive powers to thread with caution, because there’s a different life after power, many of them will ignore you, subsumed by the hubris that they are superhuman.”

This is an expression which every Nigeria politician should borrow a leaf from. Yahaya Bello’s encounter with EFCC will be a more practical lesson to careful politicians.
