Amid the ongoing nationwide #EndBadGovernance protest, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu met with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, on Thursday, August 1.

Wike, wearing a white suit, arrived at the State House in Abuja in a Prado SUV around 4 pm for the meeting with President Tinubu.

The purpose of Wike’s visit was not disclosed, but it occurred during protests in the nation’s capital. Demonstrations took place in various parts of the FCT, including around the Central Area, where protesters ignored security warnings to vacate the vicinity of Eagle Square.

A court order had restricted protests in the FCT to the Moshood Abiola Stadium.

Meanwhile, the #EndBadGovernance protest significantly impacted social and economic activities in parts of the Wuse 2 area, with most businesses closed and reduced vehicular movement. On Monday, The Nation observed that virtually all businesses along the popular Adetokunbo Ademola Crescent, including banks and other commercial entities, remained closed.
