President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has declared a seven-day period of national mourning to honour former President Muhammadu Buhari, who passed away on Sunday.

In a statement released on Sunday, Tinubu expressed deep sorrow over Buhari’s death and directed that all national flags across Nigeria be flown at half-mast from Sunday, July 13, for seven days.

“As a mark of respect to our former leader, I have directed that all national flags fly at half-staff across the country for seven days from today,” Tinubu stated.
