President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has described the late Alhaji Aminu Dantata as a pillar of the nation, stating that his passing is a great loss not only to his family but to the entire country.

The President’s message was delivered by Vice President Kashim Shettima during a condolence visit to the Dantata family. Shettima emphasized that Dantata’s death was a profound loss for Nigeria and its citizens, noting the influential role he played in national development.

“This loss is not just to the family but to the entire country,” Shettima said. “Alhaji Aminu Dantata was a pillar of the nation. His passing is deeply injurious to us all.”

He urged the family to remain united in the face of the loss and to honor the legacy left behind by the late elder statesman.

“If it is wealth, the owner of the wealth has gone. This is a reminder that nothing lasts forever,” Shettima noted. “You must treat the Dantata name with integrity and uphold the values he stood for. Preserve his legacy to ensure stability within the family and the wider community.”

Alhaji Aminu Dantata, a renowned businessman, philanthropist, and one of Nigeria’s most respected elder statesmen, passed away recently after a life dedicated to enterprise, public service, and community development.
