President Bola Tinubu has affirmed that every Nigerian, regardless of location or status, deserves to benefit from the dividends of democracy under his administration.

Speaking through the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, during the commissioning of a newly constructed road in the Giri District of Abuja on Monday, the President highlighted the developmental strides being made in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) under the leadership of Minister Nyesom Wike.

He emphasized that the ongoing projects across the FCT are a testament to the success of his administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

“Honourable Minister, your achievements speak volumes across the FCT. From bustling districts like Maitama, Jahi, Katampe, Wuye, and Mabushi to satellite towns such as Gwagwalada, Kwali, Bwari, and Abaji, as well as emerging areas like Kabusa, Ketti, Sheretti, and now Giri—your leadership has brought real progress to the people,” Tinubu said.

He praised the newly completed road in Giri for its role in enhancing accessibility and stimulating development in the district, noting that the project demonstrates the administration’s inclusive approach to governance.

“These projects show that under this administration, no community is too small, no area too remote, and no citizen too insignificant to benefit from the dividends of democracy,” he added.

Also speaking at the event, FCT Minister of State, Dr. Mariya Mahmoud, said the road project is a clear example of the Tinubu administration’s commitment to infrastructure development and improving the quality of life in under-served communities.

She noted that the road would boost economic activity and improve mobility within the Giri area council.

Director of Engineering Services, Shehu Dauda, revealed that the project was awarded in November 2024 to provide access roads within the Giri district, which is being developed as an institutional area. He also mentioned that the proposed main sewage treatment plant for the city would be located within the same district.
