Tinubu Proposes Amendment to Police Act

President Bola Tinubu transmitted the Police Act Amendment Bill 2024 to the House of Representatives for consideration on Tuesday.

Speaker Tajudeen Abbas disclosed this during plenary, reading the President’s letter on the floor of the Green Chamber.

The executive bill proposes amendments to the Principal Act, specifically targeting the tenure provisions of the Inspector-General of Police.
