1. The Nigerian Army has announced the funeral arrangements for the late Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt. General Taoreed Lagbaja. According to the program released on Tuesday, a service of songs will be held on Thursday at the Army Headquarters Garrison Parade Ground in Abuja, while the funeral service will take place on Friday at the National Christian Centre in the Central Business District (CBD) of Abuja.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Tuesday linked the frequent collapse of Nigeria’s national power grid to the use of substandard electrical materials supplied by corrupt contractors in the power sector. The anti-graft agency stressed that Nigeria’s infrastructure and overall growth would remain stunted under such conditions.
3. Soldiers, alongside local hunters, clashed with notorious bandit kingpin Bello Turji and his group on Tuesday in Gatawa town, Sabon Birni Local Government Area, Sokoto State.
