1. The Zamfara State Government has started paying a minimum wage of N30,000 to workers. This decision came after a meeting between the state governor, Dauda Lawal, and labor union leaders, where he committed to beginning the payments in June.
2. Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has vowed to eliminate criminals, terrorists, and bandits in the state. He made this pledge in a statement he personally signed, addressing the people of Nasarawa State during the Eid-El-Kabir festival.
3. The Kano State Government expressed concern over the Police command’s disobedience to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s legitimate instructions. Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice, Haruna Isah Dederi, rejected the ban on Eid-el-Kabir festivities in the state while addressing journalists.
4. Former APC national chairman and ex-governor of Edo State, Sen. Adams Oshiomhole, has promised to ensure the party’s victory in the upcoming September 21 governorship election. Oshiomhole, representing Edo North Senatorial District, made this commitment while inaugurating the Party’s Campaign Council for the election.
5. President Bola Tinubu has instructed Mr. Mamman Ahmadu to resign from his position as Director-General/Chief Executive Officer of the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP). This was announced in a statement on Saturday by Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity.

7. Federal Capital Territory police officers killed a bandit and arrested three others during a clearance operation in Chikara, a community bordering Kogi State. The police targeted a known hideout of kidnappers.
8. The Abia State Police Command rescued three abducted children in Anambra and Delta States. ASP Maureen Chinaka, the command’s spokesperson, reported that the mission also led to the arrest of five suspects, including a Reverend Sister.
9. A Jigawa State High Court in Birnin Kudu sentenced two individuals to death for conspiring and murdering Yakubu Ibrahim, then dumping his body by the roadside. The suspects were found guilty of robbing the deceased of his phone, money, and car.
10. Approximately three individuals, including foreigners, were abducted by armed men suspected to be bandits.
