1. President Bola Tinubu has dismissed Jalal Arabi from his role as the Executive Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON). Ajuri Ngelale, the President’s spokesman, announced in a statement that Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman will succeed him as the new Chairman of the commission.
2. On Monday, former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar questioned the credibility of the current administration due to the ongoing subsidy payments for Premium Motor Spirit (PMS). President Bola Tinubu has approved the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited’s (NNPCL) request to use the 2023 dividends allocated to the federation for covering the petrol subsidy.
3. The Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission (PCACC) has launched an investigation into allegations of multi-million naira procurement fraud and the alleged mismanagement of federal government palliatives. Musa Garba Kwankwaso, a nephew of Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, and Shehu Wada Sagagi, the Chief of Staff to the Governor, are among those expected to be questioned.

8. Niger State Commissioner of Police, Wasiu Abiodun, has ordered the rescue of a hotel owner from Angwan Power-line, Gauraka in Tafa Local Government Area. Contrary to earlier social media reports, the police confirmed that only the hotel owner and the manager were kidnapped, not seven people.
9. The Kaduna State Police Command has arrested two notorious gunrunners and an informant for kidnappers, thwarted a kidnapping attempt, and rescued two victims in separate operations. The command’s Public Relations Officer, Mansir Hassan, made this announcement on Monday.
10. The police have threatened to issue a warrant for the arrest of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) Chairman Joe Ajaero if he fails to appear before an investigative panel today, Tuesday. Ajaero was invited by the police to address allegations of terrorism financing, treasonable felony, cybercrime, and related offenses.
