1. Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has dismissed Chidi Awuse as Chairman of the Rivers State Council of Traditional Rulers. Awuse, an ally of the Minister of Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has been replaced by the traditional ruler of Apara Kingdom, Eze Chike Worlu Wodo.
2. The Police Service Commission (PSC) raised concerns on Friday about intimidation from the police high command over ongoing recruitment issues for police constables.
