1. President Bola Tinubu has named Adeola Oluwatosin Ajayi as the new Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS). This was announced in a statement on Monday by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity.
2. On Monday, Inspector-General of Police Kayode Egbetokun launched a manhunt for the sponsors of the proscribed Islamic Movement in Nigeria, also known as Shiites, following the killing of two policemen and injuries to others. So far, 97 suspects have been arrested.
