1. The Nigerian military has announced that it will intervene if the ongoing nationwide #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protests escalate into further violence. Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Christopher Musa, stated during a press conference in Abuja that the military would act to control looting and violence occurring in some parts of the country.

2. Amnesty International has condemned the killing of several protesters allegedly by security personnel across Nigeria, describing the actions as “unjustified and unacceptable.” This was stated by the Country Director, Isa Sanusi, in a statement on Friday.

3. The Kano State Police Command launched a house-to-house search on Friday to recover items stolen during the first day of the #EndBadGovernance protest in Kano.
