1. Alhaji Aliko Dangote, President and CEO of Dangote Group, has emphasized that his $20 billion Dangote Petroleum Refinery was designed to refine Nigerian crude oil and add value within the country. He noted on Thursday that, while the refinery has also been processing crude from Europe, the U.S., and other regions, it remains focused on Nigerian crude.

2. The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) has requested a refund of N4.71 trillion from the Federal Government to cover outstanding debts related to the importation of Premium Motor Spirit (petrol). This was revealed by the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, on Thursday.
