1. Organized Labour on Saturday criticized state governors, accusing them of negotiating the new minimum wage in bad faith. They demanded full implementation of the new wage agreement and called for the resignation of any governors unable to comply.

2. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission arrested 127 suspected internet fraudsters during a “Yahoo Party” in Akure, Ondo State. The arrests took place early Saturday morning, June 8, 2024, at simultaneous parties held at Signature and Abah Clubs in the state capital.

The Lagos State Police Command confirmed the arrest of two suspects, Ogujiofor Emeka and Desmond Chima, during a raid on a factory producing adulterated alcoholic drinks at Oko-Arin Market on Lagos Island.
