Yahaya Bello

Yahaya Bello, the former Governor of Kogi State, was notably absent from the Federal High Court in Abuja on Thursday.

His absence stemmed from his scheduled arraignment by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on charges related to an alleged money laundering offense involving N84 billion.

The EFCC’s counsel, Kemi Phinro, informed the court that Bello was unable to appear for his arraignment due to the protection afforded to him by someone with immunity. Consequently, Justice Emeka Nwite adjourned the proceedings to April 23rd.
