Gov Yusuf Leads Delegation to Saudi Arabia for Late Aminu Dantata’s Funeral

Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has traveled to Madina, Saudi Arabia, to attend the funeral rites of the late elder statesman and business magnate, Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata. The governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, confirmed the governor’s departure in a statement on Monday.

The high-powered delegation accompanying Governor Yusuf includes the Emir of Kano, Khalifa Muhammadu Sanusi II; Jigawa State Governor, Malam Umar Namadi; former Jigawa Governor, Barrister Ali Sa’ad Birnin Kudu; and other prominent officials from Kano State.

Alhaji Aminu Dantata passed away on Friday night in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. His funeral rites are currently taking place in Madina, where he will be laid to rest beside his late wife.

Governor Yusuf and other dignitaries are paying their respects to a man remembered as a respected philanthropist and father figure to many in the region.
