2027: Keyamo Mocks ADC Coalition, Says Atiku Reviving Retired Politicians
Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has dismissed the newly formed coalition led by the African Democratic Congress (ADC), describing it as politically inconsequential and lacking direction.
Speaking during an interview on Arise News, Keyamo, a senior figure in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), criticized the coalition, referring to it as a collection of politically inactive figures with no significant electoral influence.
According to him, the ADC-led alliance represents a “journey to nowhere” and is comprised mainly of individuals who have lost relevance within their former parties, particularly the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
“The ADC is in total tatters and they are on a journey to nowhere,” Keyamo stated. “It is a gathering of former office holders—ex-this and ex-that—who no longer hold sway or command electoral power.”
He further alleged that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has turned to political retirees in a bid to assemble a coalition, which he claimed lacks grassroots appeal.
Despite downplaying the strength of the opposition coalition, Keyamo emphasized that the APC remains vigilant and committed to governance.
“We are not resting our oars,” he said. “Any politician who underestimates opponents is not being smart. But the APC remains focused on delivering the dividends of democracy to Nigerians.”
