ADC Welcomes Over 100 New Members in Zamfara, Eyes Further Growth Ahead of 2027 Elections
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Zamfara State has announced the defection of over 100 new members from various political parties within the last ten days.
Speaking during a media briefing in Gusau on Friday, the state chairman of the party, Alhaji Kabiru Garba, described the surge in new members as a sign of growing confidence in the party’s vision and leadership.
“In the past ten days, we’ve recorded over 100 new members who joined from different parties,” Garba said. “This reflects increasing support for the ADC as we build momentum toward the 2027 general elections.”
He noted that the party is rapidly gaining ground in Zamfara, with ongoing efforts to attract more supporters. According to Garba, the ADC remains open to all individuals who align with its mission and values.
He also made it clear that the party would be willing to welcome Governor Dauda Lawal if he ever chooses to defect.
“If the governor decides to join us, he will be received like any other member,” Garba stated.
He added that more defections are expected in the coming weeks, as the party continues to strengthen its grassroots presence across the state.
