The All Progressives Congress (APC) has confirmed ongoing plans to replace Abdullahi Ganduje, who recently resigned as the party’s National Chairman.

Felix Morka, the APC National Publicity Secretary, told Channels Television on Sunday that consultations are underway to fill the vacancy swiftly, emphasizing that the position must not remain unoccupied.

Ganduje stepped down last week, citing urgent and personal matters. President Bola Tinubu has appointed Deputy National Chairman (North), Ali Bukar Dalori, as Acting National Chairman in the interim.

While no date has been set for the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting to finalize the replacement, Morka assured that the process has been triggered and will conclude soon.

Ganduje had assumed the chairmanship in August 2023, succeeding Abdullahi Adamu, who also resigned.
