The All Progressives Congress (APC) has responded to widespread speculation that President Bola Tinubu may have been displeased with former Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, leading to his recent resignation as the party’s National Chairman.

Speaking during an interview with Channels Television on Sunday, APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, dismissed the claims as mere speculation, stating that only the President can clarify his stance on the matter.

“The President is at liberty to speak at any moment on any issue. He has not spoken, so people will speculate. But we cannot act based on speculation,” Morka said.

Ganduje’s resignation was confirmed last week by the APC leadership, with the party stating that the move took immediate effect. According to the official statement, the former chairman stepped down to “attend to urgent and important personal matters.”

Despite the rumoured political undertones, the APC maintains that the party remains stable and is not guided by hearsay or conjecture.
